This policy explains how Immigration Advisers IAUK (“IAUK”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit this website, make an enquiry or instruct us. We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
IAUK is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about data protection at:

We rely on one or more of the following: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing our contract with you; complying with our legal and regulatory obligations; our legitimate interests in running and improving our service; and your consent where we ask for it. Where we process special category data, we do so with your explicit consent or where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
We share personal information only where it is needed: with the Home Office and other bodies that decide your application, with tribunals, with service providers who support our IT, email, website, online booking, payment and video calls, and with our regulator or other authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
When you book a consultation through this website, the booking page is provided by TidyCal (tidycal.com, run by Sumo Group, Inc.), an online scheduling service that acts on our behalf. It collects your name, email address, telephone number and the time you choose. If you pay online, your payment is taken by a payment provider such as Stripe or PayPal, and we do not see or store your full card details. Video consultations are held using a video-conferencing service, and your link is sent to you by email. TidyCal has its own privacy notice, which you can read at tidycal.com/privacy. Please keep your answers in the booking form brief and do not include confidential details about your case; you can share them with your adviser during the consultation.
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Client files are kept for the period required by our regulatory and legal obligations after your matter ends, and are then securely destroyed.
Some of our service providers may store data outside the UK. Where that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work and may use cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to erase or restrict the use of your information in certain circumstances, to object to our use of it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
